Hello! I am Ricky, the founder and owner of Transformative Tiling. Back in 2012 I set up my business ‘R&B Tiling’ and am proud to have built up an excellent reputation in the local area with home owners, building companies and plumbers. In 2020 we rebranded as ‘Transformative Tiling’ as we felt that this was more reflective of the ethos of our company and of our values.
Prior to entering the tiling trade I spent seventeen years in the civil service but left to pursue my passion for home improvement, tiling in particular, and to spend more quality time with my family.
Family means everything to me and I grew up watching my dad work in the building trade and being inspired by his care and commitment to everything that he did. It’s the attention to detail he always showed, the level of quality and the old fashioned values he instilled in me that I now install in my work and in my company. I’m very passionate and take great care and pride in what I do and this comes across in the quality and finish of my work.

FAQs
When can you come and have a look at the work we require?
At the end of the initial phone call we will arrange a date and time to visit.
Do I need to get the tiles myself?
The only thing we ask the clients to get is the tiles. The reason for this is that the choice of tiles is down to each individual’s personal taste. However we will happily recommend retailers and stockists where we can pass our trade discount on to you and also arrange delivery if required. We will of course also provide you with advice on the most appropriate type of tile and arrange samples if required.
Do I need to arrange the materials myself?
No, we will arrange everything which means you don’t have to worry about picking up heavy bags of adhesive or long lengths of trim, we will bring everything with us.
How many tiles will I need?
During our initial visit to you we will measure the area that is being tiled and our quote will include the number of tiles required for the area.
When will you be able to fit me in?
We will discuss this together and determine a suitable date for the work to begin.
How much do you charge per square metre?
These costs will depend on a number of things, including the type of tile chosen, the size and the style of the project. This will all be discussed during the initial consultation.
How long will it take?
The timescale will depend on the size and style of the project, the tiles that are being fitted and whether any additional elements such as under floor heating are being installed. During our initial consultation we will discuss potential timescales so you will have an idea of the time it will take to complete.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes we do. We offer interest free payment plans which can be discussed during the consultation stage.
